Free Vedic Astrology Tools

Calculators that turn your birth chart into clear answers

VediqAstro's free Vedic astrology tools give you instant, evidence-based readings on the same Swiss Ephemeris computations professional astrologers use. Whether you're checking nakshatra compatibility for a marriage match, screening a chart for Kuja Dosha, or verifying which yogas are active in your birth chart, these tools deliver classical Vedic accuracy in seconds without asking for a paid consultation first.

How our tools differ from generic horoscope sites

Most online Vedic tools rely on simplified rules that ignore the nuance of classical Jyotisha. Ours run the full Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra computation pipeline: precise sidereal longitudes via Swiss Ephemeris, whole-sign house assignment from the Lagna, all 27 nakshatras with pada-level granularity, classical friendship-and-enmity tables, and Vimshottari dasha boundaries to the second. The result is the same chart a senior astrologer in Varanasi or Chennai would draw, calculated in milliseconds.

Who these tools are built for

Anyone curious about their Vedic chart benefits, but we paid special attention to three groups. People preparing for marriage who want a Kundali Milan check before family meetings. Students of astrology who want to verify hand calculations against a trusted reference engine. And working professionals who need a quick yoga or dosha screening without booking a 90-minute consultation. Each tool is self-contained, requires only your birth date, time, and place, and returns a structured reading you can save or share.

Birth-data accuracy matters

Your reading is only as accurate as the birth time you give. A 4-minute change in time can shift your Lagna sign and reshape every house in the chart. If your birth time is uncertain, use our Birth Time Rectification tool to narrow it down using known life events. For place of birth, we resolve to longitude and latitude coordinates automatically. Small towns and ancestral villages are supported.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these tools really free? What is the catch?+

All listed Vedic astrology calculators are 100% free with no signup required. We support the platform through optional paid offerings such as detailed AI-powered analyses, downloadable PDF reports, and subscription plans for unlimited questions. The free tools exist because accurate chart computation should be accessible to anyone curious about their Jyotisha foundation.

Which ayanamsa do you use for sidereal calculations?+

All tools default to Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa, the official sidereal reference adopted by the Indian government and the most widely used standard in classical Vedic astrology. Lahiri is what most senior practitioners across India use, and it matches what Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra and the major classical commentaries describe.

Do your tools work for births outside India?+

Yes. Place lookup resolves to global latitude and longitude data, and Swiss Ephemeris produces accurate sidereal positions for any birth location worldwide. The classical Vedic framework is universal: your chart structure depends on the sky at your moment of birth, not on geographic culture.

How is the Lagna (Ascendant) calculated?+

The Lagna is computed from the exact sidereal longitude rising on the eastern horizon at your birth moment, using the geographic latitude and longitude of your birthplace. We use the whole-sign house system. The Lagna sign becomes the 1st house, the next sign the 2nd, and so on counterclockwise. This matches every classical Vedic text and what your tool readings reference.

Can I trust online tools more than a human astrologer?+

For computational accuracy, yes. Algorithms make no arithmetic mistakes and never confuse a date or longitude. For interpretation depth, narrative judgment, and karmic context, an experienced human astrologer adds layers a tool cannot. They complement each other. Use our tools for accurate chart computation and pattern detection, then bring those findings to a senior practitioner for synthesis.

My results look different from another website. Why?+

Differences usually come down to ayanamsa choice (Lahiri vs Krishnamurti vs Raman vs Yukteshwar can produce 10 to 20 degree shifts), house system (whole-sign vs Placidus vs Bhava-Chalit), or simple birth-time inaccuracy. We document our settings transparently so you can compare like-for-like. If you spot a genuine computation discrepancy, contact us. We cross-check against Swiss Ephemeris reference data.
